From the Junk Drawer:

Several different types of leaves from outside

Scissors

Glass cups (or canning jars)

Nail polish remover

Marker (or wooden spoon)

Coffee filters

Pencil

Rubbing alcohol

Spoon

Masking tape and marker (if needed for labels)

Step 1: Go outside and collect leaves from different plants and trees. You want plants and trees that lose their leaves in the winter. Keep the leaves separate from each other for best results. You can also do just one type of leaf if you choose. Write down what kinds of trees they come from if you know. You might want to ask an adult or use the computer to look up trees that are native to your area. Another great option is spinach from your salad drawer. Use the scissors to cut each leaf into tiny pieces. Put each type of leaf in its own glass cup. Canning jars also work well if you have them. Label the jars if you do more than one kind of leaf.
